We are pleased to announce that Rep. John Carson and others are inviting us back to the Georgia State Capitol for the Day At The Capitol event. Registration will open in November.
When – March 12th, 2018 from 9am to 2pm
Where – At the Georgia State Capitol and the surround area. Starting and ending in Room 341 inside the Capitol building.
Who – All registered members of Trail Life USA and American Heritage Girls.
We advise that youth who are not registered in either program remain at home, as we want to make as much room for registered youth as possible; however, we also acknowledge that it is not always possible to do so. Therefore, if unregistered youth must attended, please make a note of it when you register and be prepared to bring lunch for those youth.
Cost – Nothing. Rep. Carson and his contacts are providing a free Chick-fil-a lunch for all registered participants; and event patches and prizes will also be given out.
Registration – You can register on this page by selecting the number of youth and adults who will be attending. Please provide your best contact information that can be used on the day of the event. Please provide your troop number (ie. TLUSA/AHG GA-####). Please make a note if a participant will not be eating the provided lunch due to food allergies or if the participant is a non-registered youth.
Lunch – Chick-fil-a lunches will be provided – a normal chicken sandwich, waffle chips, cookie, and sweet tea/unsweet tea/ water – for any attending registered youth or accompanying adults (registered or not). Non-registered youth or individuals with food allergies will need to provide their own lunch.
Parking – Bring $10 in cash for parking. Click on this link for a map of various parking facilities around the Georgia State Capitol.
What To Bring – We recommend that you review the security procedures at the State Capitol. We recommend wearing your Class A uniform (and comfortable shoes), bring a water bottle, and anything else you sensibly may need. We will be moving around throughout the day, so anything you bring, you’ll need to carry with you.
We advise that all registered youth and adults wear their Class A uniform or, if Class A is not available or feasible, their Class B uniform.
